OK, Who are you?

And what have you done with the REAL kitty Krewe? Not that this flash didn't suck, but there were hints of actual skill, talent and humor peeking out from under the crap.

Nice imititation, but the quakity is just a little too high to buy it's having come from that lot.

I gave you 2\5, but more to protect this review than the flash.

Nice Collaboation

The 1st piece, by Rtil, was worth 10's across he board. Beautiful, noir style illustrations, good sound, good storyline and funny. THe other pieces kind of went downhill, but were all good for a laugh.

Altogether. a welcome oasis in a desert of Clock Schlock and Kitty Krap.

I agree that the "you'll like the way you look," guarantee is too broad. Sure the suit is cool, but I'm still too fat, my teeth are brown and my nose is too big.

Starberry responds:

GO!GO!7188 (go go nana ichi hachi hachi), also known as GO!GO! 7188 and simply Gogo, is a Japanese rock band with a strong surf influence. The band was formed in June of 1998 by Yumi Nakashima (nicknamed Yuu) and Akiko Hamada (nicknamed Akko), both alumnae of the same year at Shoyo High School in Kagoshima, Kyûshû. The band's drummer, Turkey, joined in 1999 and they debuted on Breast/milia, a division of Capitol Records (Toshiba-EMI) in 2000. The meaning of the band's name is known only to its members.

I really like the song

But 4 minutes of watching God Clock hump a violin is a higher price than I care to pay to listen to it.

The opening sequence was so promising too. But, I suppose that's the next step for spoilers on NG. Conning people into tyhinking they are going to see hentai and then dumping this kind of shit on them is one thing. Conning people into thinking they're going to see qualtiy animation and substituting crap sreally sucks.

MinuteMaidPremium responds:

LAWL GOT U

The sound could use some work.

It might be a good idea to pre-record with a decent amp then download through the mic port.

The story seems to be deepening, but large pieces are still missing. Some explication, maybe even a whole segment's worth would be welcome. Remember, just because you know what's going on doesn't mean that the viewers do.

Did you get the idea for the "Bird Docs" from the herb filled masks that people wore in the 1500's to ward off the Black Plague? They really do look as creepy in the Renaissance woodcuts as they do in your flash.

d-z responds:

I haven't seen those masks but i'll check em out.
Thanks for the tips!

You just keep getting funnier.

The "Alice's baby Anthem" production number, kind of Marlene Deitrich meets Doctor Seuss, was hilarious. That one segment alone would have made it through the portal and maybe got a daily award. For that matter, the look at other test subjects doing different drugs that you do in each segment is better than 99 out of a hundred authors consider worthy of submission

Your attention to detail, running gags and joke set up, along with character driven humor is superb.

Please bring this stuff to the attention of Cartoon Network. It's a hundred times funnier than Squidbillies.

Do some 30 second psa's. You might find an anti-drug group uptake challenged enough to run them. Or hip eough.

After all, Afroman's "Because I got high," really does carry an anti-drug message.

ApocalypseCartoons responds:

damn thanks. and i agree that squidbillies sucks. but i think i'd rather stay underground then work for cartoon network. i just love the word 'cunt' too much.

Hello, it's me.

I didn't think that anyone under 40 remembered Todd Rundgren.

The piece was visually interesting, the animatiom well done, the synch was on the money and the song, of course, rox!

Best of all, you waited until you were established as an artist before showing your early stuff, so that fans could see your style develop. It just gets so tiresome watching people post just every little doodle so they can get something up.

Now, maybe if you could find a Todd Rundgren song called "Hamburger Hell," you could gt a really good video out of it.

EGTB responds:

I heard it because my dad was playing his old cd's and vinal. I thought It was the only Todd Rundgren song i liked. I dont think i will make another music video. I dont really like doing them, They're to easy to make. Anyway thanks for the review.

That'll teach him.

Next time he'll know to carry some stale bread.

Work on your animation skills. The music was a good choice. The humor was really good. The story was fun. Yopu have the vision and the talent. Now you just need to improve your technique.

Hit the drawing tutorials, and practice your drafting.

Great art is about...

Getting more out of a medium than it offers. Ok, it was mostly stick figures, but they somehow took on the quality of an Edvard Munch painting. The figure on the bridge, in particular was very reminiscent of "The Scream.'

The animation was nicely matched to the song, (Fiona Apple?) A credit there would have been well received, as I'm sure some folks would like to download it

Altogether, a whole greater than the sum of its parts.

5\5

Nye zhnaiu po Ruski

So the subtitles were a big help to me. Well drawn, well animated and pretty funny. Ilya is lucky to have such friends.

I've got way too much time on my hands. And I'm not afraid to use it.
